FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
I am playing other
sports this Spring and will have to miss some practices and some games. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. We are happy to see you at as many practices and games that you can make.
We understand that you may miss LAX due to important commitments to other sports, to other activities and for family
reasons. This will not impact your playing time on our teams. LAX is for having fun! We are grateful for every opportunity
to expose you to a great game.
Can I play in the other
Squad’s game if I miss my Squad’s game due to a conflict? Or what if I just love LAX and want to play as much
as I can?
Yes, you can. If you contact the coaches in advance so that we have time to work you into the lines, you can switch Squads
for individual games. For Lightning, contact Chris Ladd or John Dornberger and
for Flash, contact John Dornberger. Just make sure you get to us a few days in
advance of the game. If you just show up to the game, we may not be able to work
you in immediately.
Will Players get an
equal amount of game time?
The philosophy of this
organization is to allow each player equal playing time. While in a given game
there may be a small imbalance in playing time with this system, our experience is that, over the course of a season, it will
balance out. Middies, for example, will be on and off the field all game long. Attack, defense and goalies will be on the field continuously for an entire half. Therefore, depending on his position in the game, your player may be on and off for
different amounts of time. Note: If a player is not on time to the game, he may
not get into the game in the first half because it will take time to work him in on a shift.
